Making Family Care Easier in Lancaster & Palmdale

At Premier Dental Care, we provide preventive care for all ages. As patients encounter dental problems over time, we offer cosmetic and restorative dental care for adults. Family dentistry services that our dental health professionals offer include:

It can be difficult to coordinate dental appointments for every member of your family. However, we try our best to make it easier for everyone. We can help you choose a block of time that works for everyone.

You can all come in at the same time to get your dental care so that you can make fewer trips to the dentist office. We want to ensure we’re working your dental care into your schedule. Particularly for children, it helps when they have a trusted family member at their appointment. A comforting presence in the room can keep children calm throughout their appointments.

Children can also accompany one of their family members to their appointment. Seeing their parent or sibling get dental care can help children realize that the dentist isn’t something to be scared of.

Wisdom Teeth Removal

In most cases, we must remove wisdom teeth to avoid oral health problems. An impacted wisdom tooth can destroy the second molar.

Wisdom teeth create problems because the shape of the modern human mouth is too small to accommodate these teeth. Impacted wisdom teeth can’t come in straight, or move into their proper place. We can remove your wisdom teeth through oral surgery or an in-office tooth extraction.

Geriatric Dentistry

Our dentists provide personalized treatment for our patients at every stage of their lives. We tailor our restorative and cosmetic dental services for comfort. Our dentists take each patient’s overall health into account before treatment.

As you age, you may notice age-related dental issues. You must receive the appropriate treatment before more problems arise. We’ll assess your smile and provide an examination to determine the best solution for your dental needs.

For example, Dr. Naguib helps patients who are dealing with tooth loss using dental implants, dental bridges, or dentures. He helps patients with worn or yellow teeth using teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, dental crowns, or tooth bonding. Our professionals can provide treatment for every one of your dental needs.

Patient Review

Every time I have come in, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Even before my first appointment, I was talking to the office staff over the phone and it felt like I was talking to a friend. The staff is so knowledgeable which immediately put my mind at ease. Everyone has been great and I appreciate the fact that they seem very honest and fair. I particularly love that you can opt in to receive text notifications about upcoming appointments. My family and I have now been longtime patients here. Thank you, Premier Dental Care

Family Dentistry FAQs

Dr. Karim Naguib and our friendly team believe a well-informed family is a healthy family. As your trusted family dentistry, we’re here to answer your most common questions so you can feel confident about your family’s dental care.

When should I bring my child to the dentist for the first time?

Sooner than you might think! We recommend scheduling your child’s first visit either by their first birthday or within six months after their first tooth appears. This early start gets them comfortable with our office and allows us to ensure their smile is developing perfectly right from the start.

How often should my family visit the dentist?

For a healthy smile at any age, we recommend a checkup and cleaning every six months. These regular visits are the key to prevention. We can spot tiny problems before they become big ones, give you a much deeper clean than brushing at home, and help everyone in your family maintain their best oral health.

Does dental care change as we get older?

Yes, a little bit. Different ages face different risks, like cavities in kids or gum health concerns for adults. The great thing about our family dentistry is that we understand every stage of life. We tailor our exams and advice to each family member’s specific needs, from your toddler’s first tooth to your teen’s braces and beyond.

Does a root canal hurt?

With modern dentistry, a root canal is no more uncomfortable than getting a standard filling. We completely numb the area so you won’t feel pain during the procedure. Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how easy it is. Afterward, any mild tenderness can be managed with over-the-counter medication, and it usually fades within a few days.

What are dental sealants, and who needs them?

Sealants are a simple, protective coating we paint onto the chewing surfaces of back teeth (molars). They act like a shield, blocking out food and bacteria that cause cavities. They are most commonly applied for children as their permanent molars come in (around ages 6 and 12), but they can be a great preventive treatment for adults, too! Ask us if they’re right for your family.

When do wisdom teeth come in, and do they always need to be removed?

Wisdom teeth (or third molars) typically appear between the ages of 17 and 25. Not everyone gets them, and not all wisdom teeth need removal. We’ll monitor them with regular X-rays. If they are likely to cause crowding, pain, or other problems, Dr. Naguib may recommend a gentle removal to protect the health of your other teeth.
